eleven and lovely

Sweet girl. You can't already be 11! With middle school looming, I was tempted as your homeschool teacher to flunk you so I could avoid having an official middle schooler. But it seems there's nothing to be done about this growing up problem. It's happening against my will.

You've been my right-hand little woman these past few years. I've so enjoyed having you home during the day, and have felt greatly blessed during a time of increased complexity in life with your willing hands ready to help. You've shown yourself to be a real worker and nurturer toward younger ones, putting on little Bible lessons or organizing games for your siblings.
You love more than anything to be creative with drawing, crafts, or anything artsy. And this year at AWANA you memorized the book of Philippians.

We pray that you will continue to invest time and effort in taking in the Word so that you can live it out in obedience and faith. And may you live to please the One who created you. As you grow up physically, may you also grow and mature spiritually. Happy birthday, sweet girl--we love everything about you.

Ray just got a sweet note from Cams and she was excited to share that she's the double ones now! Love from us all!
