Today marks the date that you changed our lives forever, 8 years ago.
Eight years--great years. We've enjoyed you in so many ways: your smile, your big eyes, your strapping stature. Your sometimes bashful, sometimes wild ways. But always full of boyish energy.
You are eager to prove to all that you are one of the big kids. (And you generally are, since you're the same size as your big bro!) You occasionally irritate your little sister. You love skateboarding, basketball, and playing "spies" with the neighborhood kids. You love to be outside. You often make discoveries by studying God's critters and tell me all about them.
I love to see you notice the small and seemingly insignificant things in nature. They are significant to you. And they should be. When I was your age, I too lived outdoors. I noticed the beauty God put all around us, and it pointed me toward Him.
And I'm praying it points you toward Him also. Our deepest desire for you is that you would understand and obey the Word of God, and live whole heartedly for the Lord.
We love you, Jude. May you grow to be a man after God's own heart.
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
Colossians 3:17

Jude..I think you are the most "outdoorsy" grandchild we have! You can't wait to get outside and find frogs/toads, bugs, snakes and any other critter that you can spy. We enjoy our one on one time with all of you and when it is your turn, we love our little chats. The farmer just comes out in you when you are on the farm. You are turning into such a great young man and we can't wait to see how the Lord uses you as you grow and mature in Him!!! We are so grateful you are our grandson and love you so much!!! =)
