the calvinator is nine

My nine-year-old boy.  Wow--it seems impossible that my second-born should be half-grown. Just last year (it seems), you were my ever-screaming tyrant-tot that would not be comforted. And now you've grown into a young thinker with a deep concern to do right.
While you are very much opposed to being the "pleasing" type, you are willing to swim upstream when the current is against you. I hope you keep this quality, and I pray that the Lord would use it to help you stand for what's right, to be pleasing to the Lord...and to use that high-volume speaking/singing apparatus to bring glory and praise to God.
You have recently begun to enjoy singing, and I often eavesdrop on your piano practice when I catch you singing along. I'm thrilled that you will be schooled at home next year with me...and I'm hoping your studying and reading skills will continue to develop so you can better read and understand the truth of the Word.
Your analytical mind is truly an original work of the Creator. We look forward to seeing what He has in store for your life...and we pray that you would walk according to the Word, in whatever is ahead of you.
We love you, Bud. Happy birthday to our Calvinator.
