A few random bits of our week: a very elegant breakfast
Hauling some grain...
...of course invented by this child. It was a great idea...now, I would have contained the mess in a plastic container, but that's just me--I'm funny that way. Spreading oat bran and popcorn all over my newly-cleaned floor was much more exciting. Especially since they got to practice their vacuuming skills.
I'm always kind of sad when summer comes to an end...but then I remember how good it feels to be in a routine. My 3rd grader (can that be right?!)
...and my 1st grader. He's careful to remind me several times a day that he doesn't like school any more. Apparently he's figured this much out in his first 3 days back. It might have something to do with the early bedtime...
The J&J duo celebrated C&C's absence their promotions with a major peanut butter binge. Check out their synchronized scooping (Jude donning his superhero cape):
...so, I guess we'll be busy training for that Olympic sport. On a confessional note, this may or may not have been the major portion of their lunch the other day. Or maybe it was a post-breakfast snack, I can't remember--it all runs together. Some days I feed them lunch at 10:30 to trick them into an early nap.
It works at suppertime too. Gotta make that 6:45 bedtime once in awhile.

Yes they are getting so big!! I still think of Jada as "baby Jada" but realized that she is so much more a little girl--look at all that blonde hair!! ;o) Hope your week back in routine has been a smooth one! We start up on Monday and I must admit to feeling much like a bum seeing everybody else back at it already. ;o)
Something about the way Cami is standing reminds me of my Grandma Anna Frahm (Andy's great-grandma). So fun to see family resemblances like that! Hope the kids have a great school year. :-)
Have you looked into getting peanut butter in 5 gal buckets, or better yet you could just have the peanut butter bulk delivery truck stop by every month to fill a bulk self feeder. Papa
Love the dynamic duo and their peanut butter snack. Your school kiddos are looking very grown up. Hope they had a good first week. Summers are lovely, but it is nice to get a bit of routine back---at least that's what I'm telling myself as Monday is staring me down right now. ;)
