a jelly binge, water ballooning, and a basket case

This last week has been a refreshingly slow week of summer with lots of play time for the kids.  Jada was caught nabbing the breakfast jam...well, actually after consuming nearly the whole jar.
A sweet brother-sister moment
Since the boys really wanted to throw some water balloons today, and there were a few messes around the house, I decided to take advantage of an obvious rewards system.  Now the house is picked up...and Jada even got in on the fun.
And there were tears of joy from Calvin.
A sample of our summer chores.  The kids have been especially helpful lately, and Calvin can take at least 90% credit for these little flowers growing.  He even remembers to shut off the water.  Most of the time.
A little creation I noticed after pick-up time:

She's pretty content, considering the extra arm and misplaced ears.  Hope your week is fun and relaxing too!

Oh the potato head pieces shoved into the basket totally cracked me up! And you and I are on the same page with holding summer activities over their little heads in hopes of getting a clean house in the bargain. ;o) (and happy anniversary today!!)

Hmmmm....an extra arms and misplaced ears...sounds like a mother's dream come true. :) Sweet snaps of your busy munchkins.
