Happy, happy birthday to our sweet Cami girl.
It's funny to think what eight years can bring. I vividly remember my days as a new mom--struggling, guessing, trying to figure it all out and then wondering if I was doing it right. I should have worried less and soaked in more of you. Those were sweet days--you and me at home. And that crazy pile of curls on your head. Here's you at 18 months:
Carefree at three:
You've matured a lot, with the addition of siblings along the way and the divided attention that comes with that. Your role is slowly changing from the needy small child to the older, responsible one who pitches in to tackle a job. I can count on you. You love to clean and organize, and will sometimes re-organize your closet, or room, or other drawer or shelf in the house that needs it, just because you enjoy doing it. And you've finished two levels of piano. You are learning to be a joyful worker.
You love to play outside, climb trees and bike, and you'll often collect a variety of bugs and build them a 'fun house' or your latest 'dream house' including a mud pool, sand, twigs and leaves to climb on. You love all things artsy and are forever creating something.
And now we have a little lady on our hands. You're interested more in the children's church lessons and like to talk about spiritual things (especially if it involves staying up past bedtime). You are paying attention to the important things, and learning what it means to be obedient from the heart.
We pray that you'll continue to grow in the Lord and have a heart that is truly changed for Him. We love you so much and looking forward to what's ahead. Hugs and kisses to our little Sweet Pea. xoxo

Happy birthday sweet Cami! Eight IS a young lady (I remember being eight and suddenly deciding I needed to lock the bathroom door to protect my privacy . . .). ;o) Hope you have a special time celebrating!
OH MY!!! Could I just squeeze that little thing with the big blue eyes and the curls!!!! What a dollie! Hope your sweet girl has a blessed day celebrating today! Isn't it amazing how all of a sudden they are these young people who have conversations (mine like to have them at bedtime too,) ;) and start to actually be helpful with jobs? (And I have those same thoughts of wishing I would have soaked it in more when they are little!!)
