Saturday we had the enjoyment of a brief visit from Gramma & Papa, and this great grandma. . . a.k.a. "Bedstemor"
She and Jada had some bonding time...Jada dove in for a slimy kiss (ready or not), and decorated her lenses with fingerprints.
...it was a sweet moment to capture.
The males of the family have a different form of bonding. For some reason, it was apparently a good idea to start eating an onion....what began as teasing led to a challenge. My dad and Calvin are enjoying their bite here. Chewed and swallowed according to contest rules...
Jude also thought it would be fun, so he chomped off a big bite, chewed it up with ease, then declared while striking this pose, "SPICY!"
It's good to have a back-up for our disappearing fruit supply.

I'm not sure why the onion idea popped into my head, but I'm glad it did--it was hilarious! Sandy-- I declined to participate-- I prefer having minty fresh breath whenever possible :)
