lights, snowflakes and celebrating Jesus

I'm super excited for December and our first annual Nativity-activity month-long celebration of the coming of Christ. My goal was to have as many Nativity-centered projects...I think next year I will invest in the Joshua Tree Devotional to go along with the other things we do. Here's my fun list for this year:
1. Put up tree
2. Gingerbread day--gingerbread playdough and (possibly) cookies too
3. Family game night--maybe this printable Nativity Go Fish game
4. Dress up like Mary & Joseph and Baby Jesus
5. Supper by candlelight
6. Homemade ornaments--TBD exactly what
7. Sing Christmas carols
8. Open book #1: The Crippled Lamb by Max Lucado
9. Bedtime tea party
10. Draw & color Nativity scene
11. Bedtime snack in PJs by the tree
12. Church Christmas concert
13. Open book #2: Legend of the Candy Cane, make peppermint playdough and/or cookies
14. Decorate rice crispy balls
15. Make paper chain garlands to hang in kids' rooms
16. Open book #3: Christ is Born
17. Nativity movie, popcorn and peppermint hot chocolate
18. Drive-thru supper & Christmas lights tour
19. Children's Christmas concert
20. Decorate gingerbread train kit
21. 1st day of winter! Make paper snowflakes
22. Storytime by Christmas tree
23. Bake/make crafts & cards for family
24. Christmas Eve service, family party
25. Christmas day! Family devotion & party
May your Christmas season be blessed by celebrating the very first Christmas. Praise the Lord for sending His Son for us!

What a great list Anna--hope you guys have lots and lots of fun (can't wait to see pics of your kids dressed up!). ;o) I'm so bummed about the lack of a live nativity this year--I do hope they do it again some year! Hope all is well at your home!
