Calvin, today you are 10 years old! The Lord did a wonderful thing putting you into our family. There have been difficult times, but also times of extreme enjoyment and reward. You've been a tremendous blessing, and fit perfectly into our little crew. You've matured a lot these past couple years, and are on your way to becoming a young man.

 You are the one I can trust to do what's right when I'm not looking, often pulling others back on track when something convicts your heavy conscience. You take obedience seriously, and are often the one to volunteer for work that needs to be done. Recently, you're excited about your remote control car that you saved up to buy. You're a great basketball player, and often come up with all sorts of awesomeness:

You're learning diligence with your homeschool work, and have come a long way in your reading and writing this year. You are very mature in controlling your emotions, and have become a young thinker. That analytical brain of yours is truly a marvel, and yet you still surprise me often with your creative side.

We love you so much, Buddy--and pray that you continue to grow in your knowledge of the Word and of our Savior. May the Lord bless you abundantly in these pursuits.
