I'm openly admitting my utter lack of interest and organization over blogging lately...although I've been convinced that recording a few things here and there will be valuable on some level, even during the busy times. I've been catching up from summer happening, and numerous other things including ages & stages the kids are in, and this exciting change this Fall:
I've been *LOVING* homeschooling Cami, and am finding that 4th grade is a wonderful stage for us to be starting at. Since Cami is a hard worker and enjoys my task-oriented, cross-it-off-your-list disease, it has been smooth sailing so far. Here is here latest work after reading How to Draw Animals of the Rain Forest (Lee):
Jada has followed suit, throwing herself whole-heartedly into the world of todder academia. She's been doing a lot of tracing, and even more drawing (boy, does she love to draw!)
I think it has to do a lot with Cami loving to teach her--they are a good pair. Here is her "guy on a bicycle" piece. I believe she was inspired by the boys' artwork (since they enjoy drawing bicycles and ramps going upside down...and also attempting similar stunts in person).
CHORE TIME! I'm enjoying finding things for the kids to do lately...I discovered that Jada was an excellent dishrag folder.
But don't worry, it hasn't been all work...she decided to sport some angry cheesebrows today at lunch:
Jude has been busy at school, and has had several delightful drawings come home:
The above reads "A baby dinosaur can walk," and below, "I loev Mom and daD," with --as he told me--spelling 'love' the right way this time. (He recently graduated from "L-U-V.")
While the others are working hard on scholarly pursuits, Calvin has been learning other very important life skills:
Until next time...

Yay for a little catch-up! ;o) I love seeing everyone's artistic creations and I am so happy your first year of homeschooling has gotten off to a good start. We all love the "cross-it off" mentality (Jackson will actually sit down at the beginning of the week with his schedule and cross off anything I have written "None" on--I guess he needs that feeling of accomplishment from the get-go . . .). ;o)
Nice to see you back in blog-land. I see you haven't lost your ability to come up with clever titles for your post and it was fun to catch up with your busy crew. So glad you are "loev"d over there. :)
Keep posting!! I know I don't browse the blogs like I used to, but what a joy when I do!! I couldn't get into my blog the past couple of days and finally found how to get back in...and was relieved. There are a lot of years of memories here, too..a cozy place to come back and reminisce.....love,mom
