First things first...I'm going to be an aunty again! Congrats, Sol & Al!
On a less eventful note, Calvin redecorated our family room:
...and told me not to take it down for a really long time.
And last weekend was a first for the boys:
Since the girls and I were occupied with a bridal shower and visiting Gramma & Papa all day, the boys went to the Husker game. Football, pizza, ice cream, hot dogs. They LOVED it:
Calvin's all-or-nothing personality is coming out even more, like when he recently "cleaned" the bathroom by holding his hand under the faucet before turning it on in order to fountain over the entire bathroom. And in the heat of suppertime prep & table setting (it's sometimes intense around here), he grabbed every spoon in the silverware drawer before coming and asking me in his most urgent tone of voice, "Which kinds of spoons do I use?!"
He also knows how to one-up me in the sarcasm department ...like the other day. I gave him a corny, "Let's roll!" order to get him moving...and shortly after to noticed him rolling around on the floor of the church hall, semi-obediently moving towards me and the door...which left me rolling my eyes. (Btw, this was not an innocent misinterpretation, but rather a masterful and overly-literal reaction to my request.) He's one of a kind.
And for my other one-of-a-kind boy: here's Jude and his cheese beard. As he was eating it he said to me, "Do you think this looks like a camel?"
[me--trying to see the camel shape]"Yeah...is that what you think it looks like?"
"No."
Jada is rapidly gaining more and more words in her speaking repertoire and has recently started singing "Ho-ho-ho-hosanna." She also loves chocolate:
Here she is running from the scene of the crime...you put on your burglar hat too, during a puzzle jumbling session, right?
...admiring her work:
Here's a sweet big sister moment I had to capture: Jada will take advantage of anyone who will read to her, often sprinting for a new book, and then coming back to park herself for another great read:
One morning, Cami got her dressed for the day, diaper and all. They are becoming two peas in a pod.
Finally, here's a rather brilliant sunset we enjoyed the other night:
Have a glorious week and a happy Thanksgiving!

Oh your Calvin boy--what liveliness he adds to your household! ;o) Love that picture of Jada, that made me laugh! And yay for pretty skies--I think God saves the best sunrises/sunsets for the late fall and winter when all the color is missing everywhere else (it is soooo dead and brown out here--the sky is all I've got!). ;o)
I had a moment of "WHAT?!" when I saw that first picture without reading the explanation above it. :)
I absolutely *LOVE* the picture of Cami and Jada. How wonderful that Cami will read to her. And Jada's burglar hat......LOL
LOVED catching up on your blog! The kids are really growing!! I have been so poor about blogging this past year...maybe next year, right? Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
