I've been meaning to take some post-birthday shots of the kids for awhile now, but have been struggling to get it done...maybe because it takes some real effort to have everyone clean and looking pretty at the same time, let alone in good/neutral frame of mind to endure the picture-taking session.
We made a little outing to a garden on our way to the zoo.
Things started out okay, Jada not quite in the mood to smile...
After a trek back to the van for the necessary snackage, we pushed through for a few more shots.
My standards are low anyway--if four little people can have their eyes open for a picture, it qualifies.
After another angry and uncooperative crawl-away, it's decision time:
Yep. Knew that was comin.
We'll get distracted looking at fish & lilies...this side proves more photogenic at the moment:
After a little splashing and a little more looking,
We are ready to go.
If they do this well with a walk in the park, I can't wait to see how they handle the looming 18-hour car ride in the near future. Looking forward to that.

Laughing at the photogenic back ends. ;o) Who knew photographing a group of children would be so hard--definitely not something told in the child rearing books!! But they are still fun shots and I like that last one with the pretty flowers in the background. It's real life, right? As far as the upcoming vacation traveling, Benadryl?? (I kid, I kid) ;o)
Oh, Anna, your captions all just made me chuckle. I find picture taking has gotten a bit easier as the boys have gotten older, but I remember the days when little people just don't want to cooperate. I usually ended up a sweaty, crabby mess when it was all said and done. ha! And I was actually going to suggest the *same* thing Janna did....Benadryl. Except I don't know if I'm kidding or not....... ;)
Hilarious, Anna! Your comments are the icing on the cake. :-)
