little miss & miscellany
A few belated shots that I've been meaning to share: My crocuses (croci?) ..shot up mid February. Hooray for Spring color!
Heart 'cookies' made from the last remnant of melting snow:
A very long term project finally completed (well, almost--once I take another good shot of the kids to fill the blank spot):
More lovely crocus blossoms:
These delicate petals have since taking a beating--or shredding, thanks to my boys.
A bashful bloom with pretty stripes:
And it's become apparent that this little flower needs protecting too:
The poor thing endures all sorts of experiments and questionable transporting from her big brothers. I often catch Jude dragging her by her legs while she quietly and contently slides on her little tummy across the floor. Today I found her at different points in a laundry basket with Jude, in the wagon on the deck, and up in the baby swing outside. When she's not contained, she is sprint-crawling across the floor, climbing the step up off of our sunken living room, or quietly sneaking away to get into something. Her first official word is "YUM-YUM," which comes out like "mum-mum" while her eyes are big and her mouth is filled with food. I wanted to pretend she was saying mama, but my "say MA-MA, MA-MA..." only gets answered with a silent stare. This is a rude reminder of her priorities right now...in the mean time, I think I'll be talking to the boys on how to be very gentle little gentlemen...

Yay for glimpses of spring in your yard!! So pretty! And I love your photo wall! You're making me think I should pull out the spray-paint and change my frames from black to cream (and I really like all the variety of shapes you found!!). I can only imagine how wonderful it felt to discover Jada in a swing you did not put her in . . . God definitely makes the youngest members of families extra tough I think. ;o)
