a musical turtle, feather artistry, and a bunny story

Today I'm enjoying having my oldest at home. These no-school days are GREAT--I love having her around. Cami's been busy playing, doing a few chores, and practicing piano...inside her turtle shell: I'll often hear her playing the famous "Heart & Soul" duet. She'll play the bottom part, and sing the top part. "Duhn-Duhn-D U H N....dah dah dah dah dah dah. . ." She enjoys anything creative, and still asks for a 'big clean paper' once in awhile...even though she's branched out to other media: I enjoyed her variation on the 5 Little Monkeys poem. This one is with rabbits, and it's slightly morbid, but she explained that it was fun because "got" and "shot" rhyme.
And even though 4 of the little bunnies get polished off, the sunshine reaches out to the sad, lonely bunny in the end. So there's a happy ending! Love my sweet Cami girl.

LOL at the poor bunnies!! That totally cracked me up--what kind of bedtime stories have you been reading that girl?? ;o) Love her birdie pictures and I'm certain practicing piano inside an umbrella is totally normal . . .
