highlights from our week...and highlights on our carpet

All-natural chocolate play-dough (which also happens to be gluten free): I ground roasted peanuts in the food processor and added coconut oil, chocolate powder, a little honey and some coconut flour to thicken it up towards the end...but I would suggest not chilling it since the coconut oil gets too hard. You could sub regular peanut butter and regular flour. The kids liked it--it was just a little sweet and very peanut-buttery. And you can't go wrong with peanut butter in our house. Here's our little lion & lamb finger puppets:
And Jude's feet--*ahem*--on Jada's head...this shot is a good representation of his extra-curricular activities lately. A girls' afternoon out--it was so much fun to take just Cami, it's been *SO* long since we've spent some good time together. We ate out (soup & sammies on a chilly day), and attended the local Nut.cracker production...and the boys were able to spend some 1-on-1 time with Dad going to a few basketball games recently.
Here's my sweet shepherd-boy before his preschool Christmas concert:
And more baby food for Jada. We started solids (again--after we took another week or so off), and she is now enjoying some butternut squash. She cut two teeth today (hooray!)...and she loves that squash. Actually because she's been teething, she pretty much eats--all. the. time. ...and my carpet looks like you'd expect after a mobile teething and over-eating squash-loving 7-month-old has been rolling around on a puking spree. Wow, did she do a number on that in record time.
I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot more time spot-cleaning. Unless, of course, orange puke-speckled carpet becomes fashionable soon. I'm hopeful.
Hope you have a colorful week! And a very merry Christmas too.

These photos just melt my heart- every single one of them! So glad the "big girls" got some girl time out- I sure treasure doing that with my big girl, and we are spoiled with getting to do it lots since she's my only one home right now during the day. :) We're soooo gonna miss all of you at Christmas- takes lots more cute photos and share them...we'll try to do the same (except with a slightly older, ganglier stage for ours) :)

Love all these pics and hearing about all the fun happenings in your house! The carpet mess does not sound fun but I sure love that sparkle in your littlest eyes--a good trade-off I think. ;o)
