And for the multifaceted randomness around our house: one of many projects I've been working {slowly} on lately: clay handprints to hang in the kids' rooms (they might eventually be transferred to a basement box for protection and hoarding purposes):
The 18 whole wheat raspberry millet muffins I baked this morning were all gone by 4pm...Andy (and obviously Jada) did not eat any. With my professional eaters, it's a good thing I like to spend time in my kitchen. Well, most of the time...
Yes--they're pretty much always this messy (especially when the boys' mealtime coincides with Jada's). And this was following a half dozen verbal proddings to clear the table. The boys had a reasonable excuse since there was an urgent 'trampoline'-assembling session in the other room:
Other recent boyish business: breaking the recliner lever from too much jumping on it, enjoying a tape-measure implosion game over and over.. and over (yes, they did snap themselves many times, and no, that didn't stop them from doing it), a couple of baby-wrestling sessions (FYI, she wasn't crying when I went to go for my camera--she was mostly liking it):
And tonight's supper which involved spilling the following: water, peas, the trash can, napkin holder, the band-aid box...and more peas. (I was present in the next room, but too tied-up with a nursing/snuggle session with my crab-cake-turned-sleeping-angel.) And Jude's interesting outfit:
I wasn't sure what to be distracted with--the creative bug-faced pincers, the yogurt that missed the target, or the fact that he should be sitting at the table neatly finishing his lunch and clearing the table like the obedient and refined little boy that he is {not}.
All in all, it was a GREAT week. (And I'm not even being sarcastic!) I really mean it...these 'normal' days when I can be at home with my lively little people make me feel extraordinarily and undeservedly blessed....hope your week was just as great. :)

You are a good mama. (Just in case you don't hear it enough). Keep on!!! ;o)
Huge smiles here! :-) Jada is a sweety pie. :-)
I absolutely LOVE to read your blog and see the glimpses of your *busy* life and praise the Lord for the gracious, loving spirit He is producing in you through it all!! You are a blessing! Sometimes I feel a tad guilty for chuckling at all this mayhem. :)
