Isn't this grasshopper pretty? I was so struck by the herringbone pattern on the legs (you might have to click to see closer)...but was again impressed by the Creator's artistic revelation to us.
On a much less interesting note, I thought I'd post my little bathroom light fixture makeover. (It would have been more impressive if I'd posted the hideous "before"...think radioactively shiny brass embellished by nasty floral shades...) Got out my trusty black can of paint, and with $40 in new shades, good-bye, 90s.
Hope your Labor Day weekend is a great one! Enjoy the crisp September weather.

Yay for spray paint and its awesomeness!! And I love the grasshopper--it is so inspiring to really study the amazing details God displays, even the smallest and insignificant of creatures.
so chic! Sounds like a few picture frames I need to take my spray can to this week. We're hoping for some of that "crisp" weather here soon- ours usually doesn't hit 'til mid October, but I won't complain if the Lord chooses and earlier date! :)
I am convinced that black paint has *magical* powers! Love the new light. And I have never stopped to consider that a grasshopper could be pretty, but you are *so* right! His legs are gorgeous! That's the beauty of photography, I think....makes you stop and take a new look at something for a totally different perspective!
ORB...my favorite! Great job Anna!!! I'm getting ready to dive into my master bath next...who knows what I'll come up with! ; )
