"breaking" news and other bits

Another week has passed at the speed of light, with lots going on as usual in our house. Here's Cami during her short-lived snaggle-toothed phase: She has now entered the gracefulness of fang-wielding lispdom. Other happenings: we are lamenting the loss of my beloved portrait lens (broken in two pieces while it unfortunately hit the ground.) Our upstairs a/c unit has also proved unusable due to incessant dripping of a disturbingly large amount of water. The armpit of the house had some kind of freon leak, a bad coil, and toxic black mold growing all over the inside of it. We are nursing it, trying to get through the next several days (forecast in the upper 90s). Thankfully our downstairs unit is fully functioning and we'll have a new one by next week for the upstairs. My rude-attitude Jude is sporting a sweet smile here, but has been quite the handful lately. He's been sleeping a lot, and today during his lego session that was way too quiet to be normal, I checked on him to find him tucked in, light off, door shut, sleeping very soundly.
Jada has passed her 2-month milestone and has been rolling over some, and breaking out delightful coos, squeals, and lots of huge smiles..especially for Mom. :)
As for Calvin--this picture speaks for itself. He is a very normal kid.

Cami looks adorable toothless! And I adore Jada's little crab outfit with the turquoise bow, how perfectly summery. But I'm quite sad about your lens and air conditioner--how good you have two when the weather is like this! Perhaps some downstairs camp-outs are in order! Oh, and rootbeer floats (my answer to all of life's problems)! ;o)
