swimming fishy "fun" and a few other bits
Tomorrow is the day I celebrate every summer: last day of swim lessons! I seem to forget every year how exhausting it is--every day for 2 weeks hauling a car full of kids across town to drag out the stroller and hurriedly herding them in (because we're always running late) through gates to their lesson, while I contain/console an energetic 2-year-old who's not allowed in the water and sometimes nurse the babe...followed up with a long walk back to the car while at least 1 child is screaming the whole way (bad attitudes, chilly bods after swimming in 60 degree weather)...more crying in the car...and for the grand finale we get home and all at once 2 kids need showers, 1 needs nursing and all of them need to eat lunch.
But other than that it's TONS of fun.
On the upside, they all took a nice long nap today. We also managed to fit in a trip to the library and a 1-month check-up for Miss J:
The healthy punkin is up to 11 lbs. :) And here's the crew after their restful afternoon:
Hope you all are having a great summer too. ;)

Your description of of swimming lesson herding is one of those things they DON'T tell you in all the parenting books. ;o) You had quite the day today--yay for simutaneous naps (and hope you got a little treat too--you deserved it!!!).
Jude looks huge/grown up in that last picture--I'm thinking Calvin might be passed up soon! ;o)
Your sweet little bumble bee is sure looking sweet and growing so well! Praise the Lord!
I groaned along with your story of the swim lessons. I remember it well. Swimming lessons are just *hard* and tiring. Seems all my kids would ploof about mid week!
Yay for lessons completion! You are wise to schedule at the beginning of summer- that's what we always did in NE and do our best to accomplish here...they can use their new skills all summer and we get that 'hauling exhaustion' out of the way!
