fashionably late. . .

We have an announcement: I am STILL pregnant! *insert confetti and party whistles here* Today finds me at home being a bit of a hermit, dealing with attitudes/squabbles from the kids, treadmilling, longing wistfully outside at the breeze and change in weather, hoping the rainstorm tonight will trigger something (even though I know better..). Our favorite sitter stopped by with a surprise for us:
I did let the boys have a few small pieces even though they've been full of .. 'spunk' .. I'm gonna call it .. although I made them down a cup of kefir first:
If you haven't had kefir, you should really try some. It's disgustingly over-the-top sour, bitter, give-you-goosebumps-and-almost-choke-you it tastes so bad.
But the health benefits are amazing...it's kind of one of those sugar-eraser foods. So when my hyper-sensitive-to-sugar middle child has had too many sweets (or is just generally unbearable to be around), I might give him a dose of this (although it's no substitute for good sound discipline).
So we'll continue the waiting game with Miss Jada. . . she's gotta come at some point. Right? Unless I was mistaken this whole time--maybe I'm just extremely fat.

Ah, rats! When I first saw those cupcakes I thought there was going to be an announcement of a delivery last night!! That last line totally made me laugh! Good to see you're maintaining a sense of humor. Hang in there! Maybe this waiting is just showing her to be a very laid back baby....which will be a *great* thing when she finally does come! :)

Your review of Kefir made me want to run right out and *NOT* buy it. LOL Do your boys like it or were they just so motivated by those yummy cupcakes that they'd do anything to get one? ;)

Yea for cuppiecakes!! What a sweet gift! Jada will be here before you know it sweetie! So glad you're feeling good!
I've given up sugar for almost 2 weeks now...and it's okay. I've also given up starch. That's not okay! Ha! Praying ya home girl...she'll be here very soon, I just know it! : )

I love Kefir. I wish we could buy it here!

We're praying for you.

Plain Kefir tastes really good if you mix it w/ fresh fruit. Of course avoid the "fruit" yogurt (which is a little bit of fruit w/ a lot of processed sugar).
