bad photography and carnivorous creatures

This horribly-taken picture is proof of what happens to the sleep-deprived mind: Even though I've taken a photography class and learned the basics of aiming and getting a camera to focus, somehow I misfired on this one (and several others just like it) to highlight the lovely strewn sticks in the background leaving the kids completely blurred. Go me. On the upside, I've made a major discovery that the amount of protein (good protein, like meat, eggs, cottage cheese) eaten regularly throughout the day, has a major effect on my energy level during pregnancy. It's too bad I didn't figure this out 8 months ago, (or just better implement what I should have known)...but I'll take what I can get. It's a huge blessing to feel good and have strength to get things done during the day without constantly needing a nap or feeling out of steam....but onto the nesting projects. Trying to sew some accent pillows for the kids' rooms to have ready as a birthday gift for each of them...here's Jude's: It actually turned out to be more doll-sized. So I'm going to sew him a real accent pillow, plus a few more for Cami and Calvin...if we can finish their rooms. I'm scared to hang up the new curtain rod in the boys' room since a certain wild almost-2-year-old animal living in our house has torn the current one several times and ruined it beyond repair...I don't like spending money on these preventable damages. So I might delay till this animal gets under control. And since I've put you to sleep already, here's a snapshot of my to-do list over the next 6+ weeks: -organize bathroom drawers/cupboards...and the office closet, our closet, and the 2 storage rooms (no, I'm probably not being totally realistic)...(but maybe I am with my protein-powered mama muscles) -sew cute pillows for the kids, finish decorating kids' rooms with wall hangings and under-bed storage -exercise more so labor might be a little shorter and a little less agonizing. Maybe. -try not to think too much about labor I hope you're enjoying these blissfully warm last few days of winter. Hooray for Spring! :)

I'd put that "try not to think about labor" at the top of the list. ;o) It would always nauseate me a bit to think I have to do THAT again--sooo not worth mulling over. ;o)

I'll be praying for you in these last weeks, and I hope you're able to tackle all on your lists. The pillows are going to be adorable! Have you figured out a girly room yet?

Sounds like you are nesting! :)
