my bunglesome bruised boy

My poor, poor third-born. Rough & tough, and ALL boy...but unfortunately for him one trait I gifted was my lack of coordination. I present the between-the-eyes-bruise/disturbing facial injury #3:
After sporting a rhino-bump on his forehead for nearly a month (cause unknown), we re-scraped the same spot in addition to his snout on a parking lot tumble. A few days later a boyish brotherly bouncing session in the living room landed him on the step that has plagued both big kids with stitches (I was very happy to not make an ER run this time). It's a good thing those scarey scabs came off before this new nose bruise fully blossomed ...his face was looking pretty beat-up for awhile there.
He continues to make big strides in other areas...loves to get step stools to shut lights on & off or just get into anything he shouldn't. He's broken two nice baskets by turning them upside-down to climb on, popping through with his sturdy physique. He can also climb into his high-chair now (which fully represents his regard for safety)... and from there he likes to eat, sling-shot food around off his spoon...ya know, "accidentally" ..and also puts food-filled bowls on his head like a hat. His communicating has really taken off, and he's of course mastered these phrases:
"More dok-o-lit" [chocolate]
"More Deethe" [cheese]
"More {insert other food choice here}. ...all in his beefy deep toddler voice.
He is extremely entertaining during a family game of duck-duck-goose when he hops up at every "Goose!," excitedly squealing and running around in random circles. And his lispy photo-grinning "Deethe!" during picture time always makes me smile. What a bundle of boyish blessing he is...and still my babe for a few more months.

Chocolate and cheese . . . Jude and I would get along famously. ;o) Poor buddy with all his injuries--Jackson was like that, it seemed for a good half a year or so there was always a bruise or two on his forehead. I'm glad you have avoided the ER thus far!
