love notes, brother bonding, and putting out fires

It's becoming apparent that Cami is one of those "encourager" types of people... Yesterday she made a Valentine card for us that had a winking heart face and a love bucket full of hearts...it read: "To Mom and Dad {open card} I love you so much that wan {when} I go to bed I thinck abowt you. I cir {care} that wan {when} you love me I love you so much." The boys' theme-of-the-week at home has had a slightly different tone--I won't say much more: Maybe we're still recovering from the big weekend. I did discover that my alarmability is not what it used to be...there was a literal fire breaking out in the house (involving a pair of leggings and an apparently very hot chandelier)..and it was only in the smoldering stage, but disturbingly it didn't phase me, other than my matter-of-fact notifying Andy (I was loaded down with laundry). I maybe shouldn't mention yesterday's forgotten lunch that filled the entire downstairs with smoke...and two other times ironing on Cubbies patches (oops!)...perhaps it's time to multi-task less, or get more sleep if that were possible. But thankfully we have an iron that shuts itself off and smoke alarms in the house. ;) In the meantime I will try to literally apply the cliche term "don't burn down the house."

Oh Anna!! Thank goodness for an encouraging daughter (those notes are all kinds of adorable--save them forever!). Looks like you needed it after a week like that!

Calvin's angry eyebrows look incredibly similar to Jackson's angry eyebrows. ;o)

I shall be praying for your daily safety . . . ;o)
