stitching up the morning

Mondays I notice all the catch-up work that needs to be done and try to get on it...got Andy and Cami off to work/school and enjoyed an at-home morning working out, mending some clothes and--now that Fall is nearly over--I finished this fun little Fall felt project that's been setting around for a month:

The Fall-back weekend left us all refreshed & rested, and the sunny warm weather!--SO welcome. Here's my littlest guy after an independent oatmeal-eating session:

He is amazing with a spoon, but gets hungrily impatient and grasps it with his hands. He hates it when I spoon-feed him, and cries when I put him in his high-chair...because he is SUCH a big boy and can eat at the table like the big kids. In the car he requires me to hand him his favorite chunky picture book--(on food, of course) and is saying more words and a few animal noises. "What does a cow (or lion, horse, pig, dog) say?" -- "RAR!" he says..except for a kitty cat, he lets out the cutest little meow squeak. I'm loving watching him grow...he's changing every week and catchin up with those big kids.
