3 little pumpkins + 1

As you can tell from this annoyingly out-of-focus shot, I really went all-out this year in regards to craft organizing and pumpkin decorating with the kids...a few markers later (and only one cheek stain!) the kids proudly displayed their creations.
And we had another appointment for our littlest pumpkin today--hooray for a healthy heartbeat! ..although my midwife gently mentioned in passing that I had gained 10 lbs in the last month (as if I didn't notice my record-setting weight gain.) But--just so you all know that I'm not eating ice cream by the bucketfull--not that there's anything wrong with that--I had to literally eat protein every 2 hours during the 1st trimester, sometimes during the night, and often very late at night to control my unruly blood sugar, and to avoid the accompanying migraines & nausea. Anyway, enough excuses (although I could mention the lower thyroid, stress hormone and lack of sleep).
I know it's a HUGE blessing, and the last thing I want to do is complain. But I'm excited that the easiest trimester is here...and we find out gender Dec. 10th (yay!). I'm thinking it's a girl...but everyone else thinks we're having a boy. Either one will be fun for our last one...we're just excited to see & meet our 'missing puzzle piece' that the Lord is weaving together to finish our family.

There's really no way to "gently" mention any type of weight gain is there? LOL! Oh how I feel your pain. I was a nauseous wreck for the entire 9 months, ALL 3 times, so I totally hear you. I'm a bit of a health fanatic, but all I could stomach was Doritos! I don't even really like chips! Happy 2nd trimester and can't WAIT to hear what you're having. Yipppeee!

I firmly believe you crave what you need, so I'm sure your body/baby needed it. Is your thyroid okay or have you had to start something? I can't wait to know what your little one is either! I'm rooting for a girly to even out the teams. ;o)

The markers/pumpkins look like lots of fun (and much safer than wielding little knives!). ;o)

So thankful you heard that healthy heartbeat! That is always a thrill! At least you have a *good* reason for gaining. The way I've been eating candy this week I'm afraid I may be tippin the scales a bit too......but with no sweet lil' growin baby to show for it. :)

Are you takin bets on gender? Cause I'm thinking Boy #3

Just so you know...Dad thinks it is a girl! =) That would be fun, but you know I have to go with the family trend.... =) Love all these photos. Tell Cami I am sure looking forward to our shopping trip next Sunday, and tell her thanks for showing me that tooth in the box at church Sunday night! =)
