quote of the day:
"Look, Mom--Jude's hair is a different color!"
{insert mini panic attack here}
. . . .all was okay when I realized she just soaked his hair with water...which was harmless. Until a few minutes later when she was outside dumping heaps of sand over his wet head and sweaty body. Of course it happened on the day that I washed every last shred of laundry, cleaned the house, organized closets, and in the spirit of overachieving vacuumed and mopped the floors. Even though supper was getting cold, I grabbed the camera (since I don't have enough messy kid pictures already) and headed out.
And then I had a realization.
I adore my kids when they're filthy dirty.
...although I do hope someday to dress my kids up cute (like normal people) and get a nice photoshoot.
*smooch*

Well, he does make a very cute covered-in-dirt boy. ;o) Way to go on the closets/etc. If tomorrow you find yourself twiddling your thumbs come on over and I'll put you to work. ;o) It does seem that when inspiration strikes it is best to ride it out full throttle! (because it might now strike again for a very long time) ;o)
OK, could this child get ANY cuter??!! Dirt and all...I love him! What's up with all the cleaning? You're trying to make the rest of us look bad, aren't you? :-) Actually I put my 8 year old to vacuuming...he does a great job! Look out Cami, it will be your turn soon. ;-) Ready for school tomorrow? I'm sooooo not! I love my kids home. Thanks ALWAYS for your sweet comments Anna - I love hearing from you.
Way to go, cleaning machine! Your lil' boy is such a handsome fella.....even when grubby! Glad you took the moments to take these great pics! *Good* memories are made in the grit and dirt! ;)
