spontaneous photoshoot

The weather was so gorgeous tonight I decided to break out the camera. The kids are really hamming it up these days with their interesting stunts/poses for which I am instructed, "Take a picture of this!" Other tidbits: Jude's beastly physique continues to grow, most likely due to his incessant eating. (We're saving up now for those teenage grocery bills.) He refers to all food as "na-na" (banana)...but now he says that word to request anything he'd like to eat or sample...which is pretty much any food or drink that enters a 6 foot radius of his person. He even tried to drink out of the peanut butter jar, apparently because the heaping spoonfuls weren't satisfying his hunger quickly enough...here's the growing boy hard at work:
He is going to be one big dude. Which is good, because at the rate Cami and Calvin torment him they are going to deserve some intimidation down the road.
Speaking of the tables turning, Calvin has figured out how to make his big sister cry, pretty much without fail...he loves to act like he's going to throw something at her (a big toy, a doll, plate, etc.) to make her flinch. She is so bothered by it that Calvin is only encouraged to keep up this mean habit. I probably should enforce a little more order in this department, but seeing him have the upper hand is a nice change of pace. They have both said some humor-worthy bits these days. Calvin asked the other day, "is this branch sauce" (ranch). And when I was spraying the oil out of the aerosol can he asked in an interested tone, "is that scum sceen?" (sunscreen)..you know, like the spray kind that we have. He was also genuinely curious about our neighbors digestion habits and asked me, "Mom, do our neighbors toot?" ..the things that are important to a 3-year old. And Cami feels it necessary to specify in regards to her hunger, "I'm hungry for food." (rather than the wood chips we normally feed her.) ..or maybe some of the things I feed her don't qualify as food in her mind. Make what you want of that. She was also incredibly forgiving the other day as I was apologizing for taking a whole 45 minutes checking out a few garage sales on our way home...she said cheerfully, "It's okay. We can go to MORE garage sales." ..probably due to the movie marathon in the van that she enjoys. Life is fun with the 3 stooges. I never knew how rewarding life as a stay-at-home mom would be. Wishing you all a great week!
