Just finished this book today...what a great read! (Never mind that I started it last Thanksgiving and let it set for months.) It is technically a book on evangelism, but is also a good encouragement in the 'brevity of life' category...here are a few of my favorite verses on that:
Psalm 39:4 Lord, make me to know my end and what is the extent of my days; Let me know how transient I am.
Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.
Speaking of numbering our days, we have some birthdays and anniversaries this week! Happy anniversary to Adam & Kris and Aaron & Jen (10 years!), and happy birthday to Adam and also Heidi, Aaron & Jen's sweet little girl. Enjoy celebrating! :)
