cami the geographic diva and manners enforcer

Well you all know how much our Cami girl loves to draw and create. Today she found a piece of black construction paper, which no doubt was the inspiration she needed to come up with this creation: I'm sure I don't have to tell you what it is because it's obviously a picture of the Earth. The "L" she told me was for Lincoln, and the "F" was for Feenix...apparently the only two cities that matter on the face of the earth. What's the S and M for? Sunday and Monday...maybe because it's Sunday on one side of the earth and Monday on the other? It happens with differing time zones and all. I'm coming to grips with the fact she is learning and growing into the 'big kid' stage. But I still have plenty of little kid things to enjoy...like her recent drawing of a monkey mermaid (and kitty mermaid too, both of them pink). And her little one-liners. Like today I got excited because the sun *almost* came out, just for a few seconds...and said "the sun is coming out!" Cami replies, "Is it summertime?" She also recently drew a picture of a sign symbolizing this: "Don't pick your nose, you have to blow the bugar out with a kleenex." (Such a little lady, isn't she?) After posting this sign in the office she was genuinely frustrated a few seconds later when a certain 2-year-old broke the new rule. "Calvin's not obeying the sign!" The aforementioned incriminated toddler tore down the sign and threw it in the trash...which I dug out to scan. I believe it's a picture of Cami with a kleenex box and a red "X-out" symbol next to a very large-nostriled Calvin (are those nostrils or eyes?) and his nose-picking finger. Whew, we have a long road to social refinement.

Oh those brothers! They just have such a hard time with big-sister enforced rules! Love Cami's drawings and imagination, how fun this will be to look back on some day!

This HAS to turn into a scrapbook page. They will get SUCH a kick out of this someday!! I can hear talk of this around the Thanksgiving table in 2020....
