learning photography

Whew! I'm not sure what I've been doing this last week, but I have a feeling that the laundry marathon and child-taming marathon had something to do with it...I was also SUPER excited to be taking a photography class--YAY! Here are some of my experiments practicing aperture and catching the kids being themselves: I LOVE the natural lighting by our south windows... My attempt to get all of them lined up: As you can tell the kids' millisecond pose was not caught, but real life was captured as Jude crawled away...unsuccessfully. Here's Calvin deep in thought...and below Jude is practicing his feeding skills. He has graduated to finger foods, although new schrapnel explodes into the air at nearly every meal because of this. But no worries, my floors stay clean since we have a puppy dog...named Jude.
I believe this is some sort of nest or play pen...big enough for Cami and "Molly."
And this accessorized little bear is actually a Queen Bear modeling a heart pendant necklace, a neatly-styled play-doh wig, and tiara with a very teeny tiny mini-heart jewel (how does she make those so little?) That bear is about 3 inches tall.
Sorry for the long posting! Too much to catch up on...have a great weekend everyone.

Cute, cute pics!! I love your new puppy! ;o) Are you taking the class at church? I'm hoping to get in on the next one he does--and have a new camera by then too . . .
Actually, sometime I was going to have a "camera discussion" with you and pick your brain on a good route to go. Whenever we have some free time . . . ;o)

Great photos Anna. Wish I could join you in the photo class, Mondays are just not a good night! You will have to tell me everything you are learning!

LOVE the photos....especially the one of Calvin's toes and the one of Jude with the sparkle in his eye! You're an A+ student---given the fact that it's 3 p.m. and I still don't have my homework done what do you think my grade will be? :(

I see what you mean about the camera focusing on noses and such. But man - I have NEVER gotten a picture as crisp as your camera/shots here prove themselves to be!! The feet shot is amazing. But what kills me is the second to last shot of Jude looking up - if those incredible eyes were in focus I would probably ask if I could save a copy of that pic on my computer. Luckily, though, you're his mom and so the photo op chances never go away! :) But it's a wonderful expression, still. :) -Renae
