a white-out Christmas

Quit dreaming of a white Christmas, people, because it is HERE! Here's Andy standing in the drift that covers most of our backyard...
...and here he is shoveling, trying to find the driveway.
My folks and my grandma lost power this evening unfortunately. My folks' generator was running but it's an issue for them to find the road up to my grandma's to get hers going, visibility was so bad. You might pray for them and the many others without power (windchill is well below 0)...also were many accidents today I heard with the bad weather. I'm feeling very thankful to be snowed in in a warm home. Everybody stay safe!

Are your kids still with your parents? Did you make it to Marquette for Christmas? We didn't go to Elkhorn, I was bummed not to be with my family even though it was the best choice to stay home and be safe.
Yours and Andy's parents are with out power. No fun!

How'd they fare? Has it been restored yet? (Sat. AM?) Man...this looks like something that would happen in Chicago! Sofar, we just have a couple inches...but it's snowing today. BEAUTIFUL out! Honey's gotta go to work again tonight from 5PM-5AM. COLD on that dock!
