half birthdays and a visit with grandpa
Here's a little snap-of-the-day in honor of the kids' half birthdays today and tomorrow...and below is a picture of the kids' and my visit out to my grandpa's last week. It was a great visit, and we got to enjoy lunch together and visit about life, death, and important things.
Another year is flying by at record speed. I am reminded lately of the brevity of life and have been mindful of our days being numbered. Two gals that I knew close to my age passed away in the last 2 weeks...terribly sad events, but in God's sovereign hands. It's a reminder to me to fix my heart on things of eternal value, and to be sharing the gospel more. Sometimes I wonder how differently I'd live if I knew I only had a week or a month left.
The reality of things is that this life is a speck in light of eternity. I need to have that eternal perspective.

I couldn't agree more on how fast a year zips by--that just didn't happen before kids!! So sorry about the passing of your friends. An event like that will always bring you up short--just wish I could ALWAYS live with the mentality of "I only have this day." I forget that far too often.
Jude howlin and GrPa just smilin. :) What a special time with him....I'm sure he loved it!
Thanks for the picture. Gpa sure enjoyed the day with you and the kiddos!
Glad you had such a sweet visit with your Grandpa...and got to talk about lasting things!
You are so right about all the rest...sharing with others for we do not know how much time any of us has here. I've been pondering such truths too...and praying that I would take advantage of every opportunity.
And LOVE that snap of Jude bawlin' on GGpa! Gotta love it!
Love the photos, Anna. I think we all have been thinking these things after hearing of what humanly seems like untimely death, but the Lord knows our exact time on earth....and pray we do take every opportunity.....
very sweet! :-)
Anna, any gals that I knew? Love all the fall photos!
