This is scary on so many different levels. He wants so badly to see what I'm doing on the counter. The oven door lock was on, and the burner was NOT on--I only grabbed a photo since the cam was right there. I don't think he'll be doing it again, I'll make sure of it! Here's a video of his jumping attempts. He can do much better, but this is the best I've caught on video:
As far as other news, we found out first hand that grapes are a natural laxative, if you eat enough of them. Cami was helping herself and Calvin to a big bowl of grapes. Since I was shredding a turkey and had messy hands I let her go at it...and before I knew it, the entire bowl was gone. (Mom, does this remind you of anything?) She is following in my footsteps...I did the same thing to my brother Jordan feeding him an entire bunch of bananas while waiting for Mom in the car. There's nothing like a little fiber to get things movin!

Life at your house is never boring, huh, Anna? :-) I like the closeup of Calvin at the end of the video (and also hearing Cami and Andy talking in the background).
Your blog is SO funny, Anna :) I really enjoy your little stories. And I can't get enough of Cami's little voice... maybe I should pay you guys a visit sometime this weekend with my recorder ;)
love, R
I love this video and they all have to have their 'explore' time. Will pray he stays safe while doing so! Thanks for sharing your day! =)
Looks like I need to show Calvin how to pull out the drawer and use that as a step up! Ha!
I'm with R...LOVE Cami's voice! Of course I love Andy's voice too...esp. when he sings 'You Raise Me Up'! Maybe Cal should learn that song when he's trying to to see what's on the top of the stove!!
And did I hear Calvin TRY to say, "jump" at the end? I clearly heard a "j" sound! Good job Buddy!
You all make me laugh..yes he might be trying to say "jump"--he often only gets the first consonant out.
And yes, R--bring your recorder by sometime!! It would be hilarious. :)
Love it, Anna! He sure is in mega-mobility mode!! Always an adventure, eh?! :)
Yes, this is a reminder of our little monkeys...makes us smile.
