Yesterday Calvin turned a year and a quarter. To celebrate, well, we didn't really do anything, but we did happen to go swimming. But before we did that Cami got him 'drunk' off of Children's Mot.rin. Good grief, how did that happen you say? Well, another bad mom story...Calvin was SUPER crabby after his nap so I gave him a carefully and conservatively measured portion. Well, in my attempt to do that one-handed (Crabby Boy in my other hand), I forgot to put the child-proof cap back on the bottle. So after leaving them alone for about 2.5 minutes, coming back down to Cami very guiltily explaining that something was okay (never a good sign), we discovered a spilled purple liquid on the kitchen rug and all down Calvin's face and cheeks. He definately drank some and got plenty, on top of his dose that I had given him. The bottle was completely empty. So after a call to Poison Con.trol, we found out that it would be okay, that he would have to consume more than a full bottle for it to be toxic....never mind that I called them the day before because Cami smuggled a bottle of Omega 3 pills into her room to chow down on. Anyway, the upside is that Calvin's teeth didn't hurt him for a really long time, although it has definately worn off, because today he has been screaming a lot. And no Mot.rin to fix the problem.

Oh, those teething days are so hard! How nice of Cami to 'help' Calvin feel better. Here's to hopin those teeth pop in soon and you can get your sweet boy back again!
Arentcha glad you're capturing these stories!? I sure am...it makes me feel SO much more human amid all those same types of stories we've had.
Big hugs to you guys-yikes, what scary stuff with medicine...why can't they have accidents like that with creamed spinach or something?!
Oh Anna....we all had a good laugh reading your post! But I know it's easy for us to laugh cuz we're not going thru it like you are. Some times I wonder how our kids all survive those early years!! :) You WILL look back at this someday and chuckle and will be able to relate to and sympathize with some other young mom out there.
