Oh, Punky. Look at you, the image of the fresh bloom of youth. But what is more gratifying is to look at you and see your inner beauty shine through.
You once had a very independent spirit. But over the years you've learned to keep it under control and consider others. You still long for independence, reminding me often of just how little remains of high school. I'm pretty sure you're looking forward to living your life away from home...but this isn't all bad.
You will be driving on your own a lot now, and maybe even tote the other kids around once in awhile.
I've often been bewildered at your unsimilar personality, and have learned that I need to be more relaxed about some things. You are extremely artistic--I would even say a creative genius is some areas--where my boring left brain is dominant. But I think the Lord gave us each other to balance us out. And He sure gave us a gift when He gave us you.
Currently you are caring for two adorable guinea pigs, Hazel and Mocha, who are mostly sweet (but very messy at times and like to chew through cords). You still love to draw and sketch. You like to clean your room, and you have it decorated beautifully. You even let your sister live there with you. You love to be on the piano and the multi-sound keyboard and play all kinds of movie music along with other songs that are all your own. You are a junior leader in the Girls of Grace group at church--the big girl in a class of little girls, including Jada. This is a pretty cool role for you.
Our goal for you in life is that you will excel in spiritual matters--obedience, wisdom, grace. And that you would be able to remember what's important in light of eternity.
We love you, baby girl. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
