Jude Boy. Today I am remembering your robust entrance into the world at 9 lbs 2 oz, and your slightly round but muscular physique, along with your healthy brown-toned skin that made all the grandmas very concerned about your sun exposure. And those deep blue eyes:
Today I'm also thinking about how you've matured and grown into a sweet-natured boy (most of the time), who cares about others and has some pretty good getting-along skills. And you are still an observer of the beauty of Creation. You take note of seasonal changes in the plants, and notice the little birds hanging around, or a really cute dog getting walked.
At this age, you love to jump on the trampoline and play outside with your friends. When I interviewed you on your favorite school subject, you said, "Math is kinda fun."
You also said that New Smyrna Beach was your favorite family vacation, and that when you grow up you would like to work at coding, and have a dog, a cat, a parrot, and four kids.
We love everything about you, Jude--your calm & cool attitude, your half-grown boyishness, your ability to empathize, your love for people.
And we pray that you are growing up and maturing in spiritual matters--the most important part that lasts for eternity. May you be wholehearted about your pursuit of godliness.
2 Corinthians 4:18
The things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Psalm 119:130
The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
