eleven years with our jude

Jude.

 Eleven years ago you joined our family and made us a "party of five." And such a party it was! You had constant entertainment from the big kids' shenanigans and learned how to roll with the punches (sometimes literally) from an early age. So you've always been mellow, and naturally understanding of the personalities, needs, and demands around you. You are an unselfish kid, and would rather give up what you want than make a big deal about it.

At this age you love basketball (and your amazing team!), Pokémon cards/games, going to the farm, being outside, playing Monopoly (you're quite the math whiz), bottle flipping, and filming stunts with your bro. You're a quick learner and do well with school, and get it done quickly to free up your time for more important things.

Today is Good Friday again. (It was also Good Friday the day you were born.) It was a very good Friday for our family, and we were so thankful you were here, with us.

But we have a much bigger reason to be thankful for Good Friday--Jesus Christ. Our sins have been paid in full. Our prayer is that you understand this more and more as you grow and aim to please the Lord with your life and produce much fruit.

This is what counts.
