snow day, laundry day, jude, and food

While I haven't kept up with the snap-a-day pace, I did manage to capture a few fun shots of the last 10 days or so:  Here's a shot from sled day.  The weather was great, and still plenty of snow.  We all took many runs down the huge slope nearby, built a cute snowman (which was vandalized the next day), and had lots of fun together.  The highlight for me was all six of us sitting on various sleds, and with interconnecting arms, we managed to ride down the long hill without anyone popping off their sled.  And Jada enjoyed her snowpants and boots a whole lot more, now that she can get around in them.
 One reason I enjoy laundry day:  I get to witness cute little scenes from these laundry basket bandits:
 And Jude has grown quite the imagination lately.  His latest thing are "what-if's"...such as:
"What if I didn't have a neck and I looked like this?"
{I will parenthetically insert here that I am aware of those ripped jeans (like nearly every other pair in his drawer), and that ugly shade-less lamp in the background (decapitated recently after colliding with the floor).  I will get around to mending and replacing that lamp....sometime.  You can understand, right?  Think of those four poor fish that have lived short lives under our roof...and those we were trying to take care of...}

Jude is also becoming a young foodie.  He often asks to watch the Food "Neck-work" after only seeing it once (chocolate cake might have been demonstrated).  And the other day he asked for this:
"Mom, what if we had cheese and gravy, and pie, and applesauce and yogurt...
AAAAAND. . . TWO onions, and carrots, and bread and lemons."
"--could you make that sometime?"

Mmm, mmm.   I see some cookbook-writing in his future.

No parenthetical inserts needed Anna. ;o) (this coming from the mother who spent the day in Kearney yesterday with a 3 year old wearing two left shoes . . .) Boys with holey jeans, shade-less lamps--that's just normal life. ;o)

Who knew laundry baskets could be so much fun and I love Jude's food ideas--so cute!

Jeans aren't supposed to be holey? :-)

I love the menu suggestions. He and Luca can have a show together, she also has lots of "new" ideas, such as, Pumpkin soup with eggs in it...ech.

The sledding sounds like it was great fun!
