mr. charming and lil miss mary

WARNING: MAY CAUSE FOOD EXPLOSIONS AND OTHER RANDOM DISASTERS
Mr. Sweetness is turning into quite the ball of personality...his talking has really taken off, especially his little catch phrases. He loves to answer with an assertive "Yep!" or "Mmm-hmm" with a nod of his head and has been known to notify me of messes with an "Oh, man!" This is perhaps my favorite stage of toddlerhood where their newfound communication skills make their personality much more apparent.
And another fun tidbit from yesterday morning:
Cami's kindergarten class did a 'book character parade' through the school and all the big kids' classes with their book and little mini-costume. The book was Christ is Born --a beautifully illustrated picture book with only Scripture narrating the Christmas story.
And Calvin has impressed me lately with his ability to get completely ready in the morning without my prompting. Such a little thing can be a huge help on busy days, especially when it comes with his sweet attitude. ;)
Other tidbits from our week:
- finally nearing the end of an influenza exhaustion streak..maybe
- finding a few minutes to sew here and there (I'm determined to finish those quilts!)
- wondering how to do a super-inexpensive/time-efficient re-do to make the girls' room girly
- washing/putting away some baby clothes and swooning over the thought of a baby girl coming soon
- looking forward to seeing the folks after wintering down south--they'll be home tonight!
- finishing this great book on those often-overlooked sins in our life
- trying to maintain a sense of humor about the growing midsectional appendage...while outgrowing more and more maternity clothes...only 8 more weeks to go! :)
- enjoying the promising sunshine and tiny shoots of new crocus bulbs.
Happy March weekend to you all!

I was at Target swooning over the little girl items they currently have available, I even told Josh if I could be guaranteed a girl I think I'd do it again. ;o) Have lots of fun with that!

You're looking good Anna--hang in there. While I have yet to think "Oh I wish I were in the last trimester of pregnancy right now!!" that anticipation of new life is a high unlike any other. But I know that frustration of outgrowing your clothes (and shoes . . .), not fun.

How cool that Cami liked Christ is Born that much! She makes a sweet little Mary!

"Swooning over the arrival of a baby girl." Hmmmmm. What's that like? ;) ;)

Fun to see your busy days and all that you are accomplishing! Can't wait to see those finished quilts and a girly room transformation.

Well that first photo DID catch my attention! I wondered if he had been sick or just attempting to feed himself! Ha!! Then, as I scrolled down..I though.."OH..the baby has arrived!" Then I looked closer! :)

Hope your last few weeks go swiftly...at least it's not August! Ha! Seriously, prayin' ya in girl!!
