busy boy and facing my fears
After being distracted for a number of reasons and being upstairs putting a very emotional toddler to bed, I came down to a lovely display of disarray spanning the floor:
I don't know why I was surprised at Jude's new talent. He likes to get in the dish cupboard and pound glass bowls on the floor. And he goes straight for the dirty silverware in the dishwasher the second he hears it open--the fridge too. He's a master at mess-making.
Why is it that babies love to make messes on the floor, and the messes that are already there, they want to clean up? Jude eats a variety of bacteria-infested food underneath the kitchen table every day. Yesterday I found a little plastic chick beak (from a toy) that came through his poopy diaper. And today while out and about, a lady asked me, "Is that your little boy over there? He has something in his mouth." Well I knew right away she was talking about my little "Joover" vacuum. After investigating and using the proper CPR finger sweep method to retrieve the unknown from his chubby chomper, I excavated what was my biggest fear in life: a dirty band-aid. That's right, he was sucking away on this infested piece of disease-catching putridness, extracting every last bit of bacterial disgustingness. Even I was grossed out...and my germ standards are really low these days.

Anna!!!! My stomach just FLIPPED over the bandaid. ACK!!!!!
I was trying to think if I had anything more gross than that to make you feel better. And I do!! Emmett played in cat litter container and ate some of the litter. Yes, it was used. So, you haven't hit rock bottom yet. But you're close . . . ;o)
All I can say is: GAG!
