I've wondered how much a sound-proof cave would cost to install in our house.
I have endless things to laugh at and endless blessings to be thankful for.
(If you're curious, Walrus-Seahorse is played by hiding under Calvin's covers and pretending you're in the ocean...and Hello Kitty, Hello is played by doing a headstand, while laughing--and wearing socks, all at the same time.)

post-child-having-isms:
I get excited over going to bed early.
It often takes a few seconds mid-sentence to remember what I was saying.
My favorite sound track is a silent house.
I know how to play games such as "Hello Kitty, Hello" and "Walrus-Seahorse."
Going grocery shopping alone feels like a trip to the spa.
A crying chorus of 2 or 3 no longer makes me hyperventilate.
I have an emergency stash of snacks wherever we go.
I discovered "Romaine cheese" on my grocery list and wondered which one I needed.
I put a hoodie on my baby upside down and didn't bother to fix it.
I sometimes discover trash that I accidentally put into a drawer.
My paperwork is going through a pile of drawings, school papers and crafts.

Ditto Anna. ;o) (I recently read that there is no such thing as "Mommy brain" and supposedly mothering has actually made us smarter, I think it's just we're doing so many things simutaneously they get a bit mixed up sometimes). Hope you guys have a great day!
How can you call it "post-having- child-isms" when you're only about half way there!
lol! so many things i can relate to. thanks!
I've had a few of those as well..made me laugh!! ; )
LOL!!!! I'm like you with the favorite sound track--silence! And if I happen to be in the quiet car alone.....going to the grocery store alone....it's just a double bonus!!! :)
btw, I would love to see how you play Hello Kitty while doing your headstand and laughing! You are talented!
I always appreciate your perspective on the blessins of motherhood while maintaining your sense of humor! You're a blessing to me!
Once again, Anna, you made me laugh. :-) I can SO remember feeling exactly the same about going to the grocery store. And then the next moment realizing how weird that would sound to other people. Only moms understand, I guess. :-)
