hungry monkeys and a hungry pup

Irony of the day: After running completely out of bananas (again), this code red emergency necessitated a trip to the store. So I left the store with my usual 5 or 6 bunches. Since the kids were hungry and overdue for their naps, I broke out 1 banana each for Cami & Calvin to eat on the way home, thinking it would satisfy their toddler-sized snack appetites until supper. Well, 10 minutes later we were home and HAD to open a few more right in the car for these desperately hungry monkeys (and their mama)...blowing through an entire 5-banana bunch before entering the house. Calvin was even begging for his 3rd banana...proving that he has my DNA..and that ridiculous appetite. We still have 27 bananas..maybe 26 by now..but I don't think that'll hold us for a whole week. Speaking of groceries, for the last month or two, I've been grocery shopping on Wednesdays every week (with an occasional banana run in between), and planning meals for a week at a time...I am loving my new system so much I can't believe I ever functioned without it. I've also been *trying* to keep the house in better order. My cleaning schedule was great for the first few weeks, and I lost some enthusiasm due to busyness and also trying to have realistic goals...which all this re-allocation of time leads me to my next excuse as to why I have had no time to practice my photography--despite being in a photography class and THREE birthdays approaching soon. Gotta somehow get it done, but I've only squeezed in a few 30-second photoshoots. That and I'm thinking too hard about doing things "right" and while I'm thinking too hard about things my little puppies are running away from me and scattering from each other. I just don't think a sibling picture with the three of them bound together with rope would be a very nice pose. So here's 1 little puppy who is the most tame, although he does eat off the floor and LOVES to chew on shoes in our coat closet "shoe buffet." I WILL get those birthday pics taken at some point...in the meantime I have a toddler with an urgent need (those fibrous bananas work wonders as a laxative!)

You've left me giggling. ;o) I had to make an apple run the other day myself. And I'm betting you find peels in places that I find apple cores.

And you're correct--as nice it would be to get all three in a shot, I don't think rope is the answer. ;o)
