hunky monkey gets his hair cut

Jude's baby days are flying by--today he had his first haircut. He looks blonder now that the black baby hair is cut off the top...makes me wonder if he'll be a blondie. He did great and was so brave with the buzzing clipper...he kept turning around to see what I was doing with that thing right in back of his head. He eventually did lose it, that's why he's consoling himself with his thumb in the picture.
We are also starting him on solids (again). I took him off after the first several days since he really wasn't into it and wouldn't hardly swallow one bite for me...not to mention fussy from trying to digest it. Now that he's almost 7 months, he's doing great..still have a whole bunch of squash-cubes in the freezer ready for him and will get going on other things once he takes off. ..and good news, he is digesting it just fine--well, more than fine because he just now happily passed an abundance of solids that overflowed onto our very light beige carpet. Hmm, white cereal comes out bright yellow like everything else. What can I say? I am the proud mama of a super duper pooper.

He is sooooo cute--I know everybody hopes their kids don't suck thumbs, but it has to be one of the most endearing habits to have. Best wishes on your "solids endeavor"--and I wouldn't worry too much, I do believe he is growing just fine. ;o)

I love the haircut and he is so handsome....and I am completely unbiased. :) Glad the solids went well.

How sweet he looks...but how "toddlerish" too! :( They grow up so stinkin' QUICK!

It'll be a good long "piece" until cousin Carter gets his first haircut! Ha! Like maybe 3??? LOL!

Can I come rent him for the day and just moosh on those chubs???!!! He'd give me a great baby fix, I'm thinking. :)

Oh, he looks SO cute! :)

And good luck with the squash! Carter HATED it. But more so, I hated when he puked it up and started ruining clothes, bibs and burp rags! Man, that orange does NOT want to come out of anything. I learned my lesson fast. No dark orange or green foods til Carter can start keeping it down better. HA!
