what we've been up to lately...
The kids have been a busy little bunch lately. Cami is expanding her creative mind, drawing daily and concocting many accessories such as the fashionable eyeglasses above, made of bobby pins and hair things...it even color coordinates with a tiny teddy bear she has. She'll often gasp loudly getting everyone's attention, as if something life-altering is happening, and she'll exclaim "Look--the carrots and Calvin's bowl match--THEY MATCH!!" ..or it could be a coat matching the color of a toy, or something of equal importance.
Calvin is expanding his vocabulary, using words like "actually" and "interesting." When we laugh at his adult way of speaking, he only repeats himself as if he's telling a hilarious joke. And he's keeping his wiley ways fresh with new expressions of experimental and disaster-prone activities. Cami is glad to help with throwing pool balls, coloring with sharpies various surfaces (NOT including paper), decorating our bed sheets with an ink pen, coloring his leg, dumping out salt or other kitchen staples, and unplugging the sump pump.
Jude is his usual sweet self, being low-maintenance as ever. He's not terribly excited about baby food yet, still spitting out most of it. I think he knows that my milk is far superior in quality and taste.
And he LOVES his big brother and sister who play with him and dote over him every day, even putting up with Calvin's ungentle ways. The three of them together are tons of fun. It's such a joy to see the Lord shaping our family and watching who our kids are growing up to be. I'm savoring the moments while they're still little.

I think Cami will end up being a designer. ;o) I've had my sheets colored on too--a thought that really had never crossed my mind. Allured by the wide expanse of canvas perhaps?
What a cute post. I'm glad you're keeping track of their funny sayings and actions - in years to come they will LOVE reading these. :-)
Their antics always make me smile. =) Love the photos, Anna!
