the latest snaps of the kids

Here's a sampling of what we've been up to the last few weeks...Calvin getting brave with the sprinkler... ...and an uncharacteristic sweet face Cami running from the slip.n.slide... ...and the big kid of the house making use of it.
This one is ammo for later.
Two chins and one eyebrow make for a good-lookin boy. Summertime sledding... And these little blooms are a hand-picked gift from Cami. She even put them in a vase and water...it really is the thought that counts.
Other than that we've been listening to lots of little voices chattering..Calvin's vocabulary has exploded and he'll repeat anything that Cami says with his very loud speaking voice. "What's THAT?" is his favorite expression and sometimes says, "Oh YEAH!" Jude is starting to coo so we're hearing his voice now too..and Cami is always sharing her thoughts.
She is becoming quite the little mommy and I've noticed her 'filling in' for me without my prompting...tonight instead of going potty, she went to dote on Jude who was fussing at the moment. And since Calvin was also wailing after I put him to bed, she brought him a cup of water to drink and tucked him in up to his chin..the evidence showing a happy Calvin tucked in with water spilled around him. She is a problem-solver..this is how I know she is capable of dressing Calvin (yes, even the diaper) and helping him with his shoes, getting snacks, drinks from the fridge..there's really not a lot she can't do. This is proof that if you train your first child well you have it easier with the rest of them.
That's all for now..I'll try to stay a little more up-to-date so we don't have 2 weeks of pictures all at once...

That's great! Sounds like Cami is now ready to drive to pipe cart tractor and help load hogs. Imagine what she could do with an electric stock prod in her hand.

Fun, fun times. ;o) And you are so right about Cami--the oldest becomes invaluable (as I really am finding with Marissa in a cast and unable to help me as much!) So glad Cami can be such a good help to you!

She is a good helper and I am so pleased when they chip in and help pick up the toys before we eat. Andy has ALWAYS loved slip and slide!!=)

I'm surprised they weren't dandelions ;) Well, there probably actually weren't any in the vicinity :)
