The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, and The Sweet
Every day has highlights and lowlights...here's a list of ours today:
The sun was shining all day and we were able to spend some good time outside.
Calvin decided to decorate our dining room table with a blue crayon.
Our magic-eraser cleaning sponge removed not only the crayon, but also the perma-Sharpie marks from a year ago, courtesy of Cami.
I later noticed that the finish on the table was dull where I had scrubbed (I think some lemon oil polish fixed it...I think).
We had another healthy baby appointment and got to hear the heartbeat again. And our big-headed baby's big head is pointed down...hopefully to stay.
Calvin is still working on his lower fangs coming through. I think they've cut.
We also had an unusually successful errand at my favorite second-hand children's store with only minor meltdowns and escape attempts. I was suspicious of their good behavior the whole time.
Cami got very hungry for candy at home and helped herself to a chocolate kiss and a sucker..no need to ask, the evidence was on her shirt. But she was honest and felt the burden to confess before I found out, and even showed me where she stashed the half-eaten sucker behind the piano.
Calvin performed some kind of update on our computer...not sure yet whether that's good our bad.
We got a phone call from Gramma and some adorable Valentine cards in the mail from Grammy, Grandpa & Michael.
At the end of the day Cami was getting ready for bed in a sort of emotional way. We had just gone through the baby clothes to get ready to wash, and she said in her weepy pathetic voice, "I'm having a hard time...I want Baby Jude to come out."
...so that was our day and all of its good, bad, ugly & sweet parts...mostly good of course. Even the "bad" parts are laughable or at the worst bearable for all the fun and blessing that comes with these little animals of mine.

Are not magic erasers the most wonderful things ever! Let me know how the finish on your table recovers--I've been to chicken to try it on the dresser in my room to remove the "washable" crayola marker.
In 'my day' I had to get magic marker (the real deal) off with furniture polish. Not sure how it works with crayons or the washable....
Thanks for the post...I'm sure we enjoyed your day more than YOU did =)
love, grammy =)
What a fun way for you to share your day. Glad baby is doing well....and I'm sure you could echo Cami's comment about wanting Baby Jude to 'come out.' All in good time, right? :) The Magic Eraser are wonderful but I've experienced the same thing with the 'faded' spots where you scrub. On my darker colored walls it is really noticeable and also my kitchen table that has seen it's fair share of marker/crayon scribbles. Haven't really found a way to fix that....just a trade off for getting rid of the marker, I guess.
I'd bet the magic e took a little varnish off your table...that's definitely happened to me, too.
Cami's phrase was so sweet! Won't all just be right with the world when little Jude gets here? She'll be one busy big sister! :)
LOVE the way you posted this Anna! I'll have to remember that for future use! We had a nice, relaxing day...you too will have that at some point! : )
Happy V Day!
...and glad to hear Jude is pointed in the right direction!
So cute, Anna. Thanks for sharing.
