Sometimes ya feel like a nut...

Great news! Calvin is NOT allergic to peanuts. Yay hooray! They did the skin test at the allergist clinic this morning to peanuts, other common food allergens, and environmental allergens (cats, dust, etc.)...and NOTHING showed up positive. Since that test is not always 100% sure, I gave him a big 'ole glob of peanut butter right there in the office, and nothing happened. So we are very thankful. Of course it would have been fine, and we were prepared to deal with the allergy, but are glad that it's not an issue. The Lord continues to protect him, and Cami in this accident-prone stage. The other day he inhaled a cracker after Cami grabbed it away. He inhaled to catch his breath for another big cry, and I'm convinced had a blocked airway (it was WAY too long of a cry and didn't have air moving in/out for 10 or 15 seconds). But the Lord was in complete control the whole time, and a few smacks on the back (holding him upside-down) whacked it out of him thankfully. Anyway, thanks for your prayers. It is a good reminder that our days are numbered and that we are all instruments of the Lord--mere clay in the Potter's hand.

PTL on all accounts here! Sorry I didn't get back to you on the dr...the one you mentioned wasn't there when we went last year, but I'm sure he/she was great for your appt.

Caroline just had all those tests done, too, and we're thankful she's clear. She still has some classic allergy symptoms, but the causes are so hard to pinpoint that we won't stress over them.

So glad that baby heimlich did the trick! That can be so scary when that stuff happens!
