Aw, NUTS!!
Well our allergy-free spree has come to a halt. After giving Calvin a PB&banana sandwich this morning he broke out with a hot red rash all over his body. After calling the pediatrician, they're having us come in tomorrow (possibly to get an epi pen? AH!) and also set up an appt with an allergist next Thursday. I'm not overly concerned after one mild reaction, although since the dr is taking it so seriously (given the nut part of the allergy), I will be a nut about it also (no pun intended)...however, it raises questions about Cami's reactions to soap. After 2 years of nothing, just a week ago she had the exact same type of reaction as Calvin did to the peanuts after I gave them a bath with this John.son's off brand soap. Anyway, we have a few things to sort out here--we'll keep you updated!

Oh, such a bummer! I hope you get some solid answers quickly! What would I do if I couldn't give my boys pb&j sandwiches?? I mean, really!!! What would I do????
I sure hate to hear that! Guess it shouldn't be a huge surprise on this side of the family, but so wierd as I have allergies, but never knew of any of the kids to have any... Will be praying for them......

Believe me, girls...if it's peanut butter and soap that's all the issue-BE THANKFUL! I know none of it is ever easy, but sunflower butter is just as tasty, and there are lots of other soap products out there to try, too.
Keep us posted, Anna! We'll have to start sharing recipes :)
